Mark Byrne took part in the Prudential RideLondon 100 mile cycle ride

Mark Byrne was thrilled to take up our Golden Bond place in the Prudential RideLondon 100 cycle challenge at the end of July. He completed the 100 mile course in just over seven hours and raised more than £1,110.

Juliet Fitzpatrick raised more than £400 at her plant sale

When her plans to visit the Chelsea Flower show were scuppered, Juliet Fitzpatrick's friends sent her packets of seeds to cheer her up by creating her own 'Chelsea at home'. Despite the attempts of Hurricane Doris to destroy her greenhouse, Juliet held a magnificent sale of plants and cakes to raise £410.

Fundraising in St Albans

Juliet Holmes, Cathy Williams-Gunn and Janice Norwood had a fundraising spree. As well as organising a cocktail masterclass and meal at Thompson's in St Albans, they also walked the St Albans Half Marathon, raising £1,075 altogether.

Coffee mornings have proved wonderful ways to raise funds

Coffee mornings have been extremely popular and successful ways of raising money for the LJMC over the last few weeks:

Members of St Michael's Church in Chenies held a coffee morning and raised £78.

Staff at Parexel in Uxbridge chose the LJMC as their charity of the year. As part of their fundraising they held a coffee morning and raised £351.

Velma Benjamin raised £181 at her coffee morning.

Thames Materials organised another golf day - now an annual event in memory of their dearly loved member of staff, Sheila Melvin (Gomes). Together with a golf-themed auction at the dinner, they raised more than £18,000 for the LJMC!
