More success for our publications

Once again the LJMC Information team is celebrating with three of its publications being Highly Commended in the recent British Medical Association Patient Information Awards.

Since 2001, the LJMC is proud that 25 of its publications have received commendations from the BMA. This is all the more remarkable because of the limited resources available for the production of our publications.

What the judges said:

Head and Neck aftercare service: This is a well thought out and produced piece of information.

Using moxa to reduce the side effects of chemotherapy: This is a good resource and I hope it proves helpful to readers and adds to the quality of the research that is being undertaken.

Coping, now your chemotherapy is finishing: The layout of the leaflet has a clear structure and headings.

Congratulations to everyone who was involved with the production of these award-winning publications.

The BMA Patient Information Awards aim to support and encourage patient-centred care. A key way in which this is achieved is through the production and dissemination of accessible, well-designed and clinically balanced information. Such information promotes greater awareness and understanding of health matters and patient choice.
