Mayor of Hillingdon chooses the LJMC as one of her charities during her year of office

During her year in office, The Worshipful the Mayor of Hillingdon, Councillor
Carol Melvin, has chosen the Lynda Jackson Macmillan Centre as one of the charities she will be supporting.

We are hugely honoured to have been chosen by the Mayor during her special year. Cllr Melvin has been a supporter of the LJMC for many years and believes fervently that the services we provide are essential to complement the clinical services offered by the Cancer Centre.

"Everyone is affected by cancer at some point in their lives," she explained. "The LJMC does an amazing job in helping people through this difficult and stressful period."

The funds raised by the Mayor will go towards running the iPointWe are indebted to Cllr Melvin for choosing the LJMC, alongside The Halo Foundation and 1st Northwood Scout Group.
Together with her Consort, Mr Andrew Melvin, she has already visited the LJMC as well as presenting the junior trophies at the Moor Park 10k in October.

A number of quiz nights are being organised during the year and the LJMC has been represented at a couple of these already. We're pleased to say that our teams did us proud!

The money raised by the Mayor's Appeal during the year will go towards running the iPoint, the satellite information service which operates in the main Cancer Centre building.
