The hair loss advisory service, HeadWrappers, runs monthly sessions at the LJMC.
Focusing on alternatives to wigs, the aim of these sessions is to help people look good and feel more confident about themselves as they undergo cancer treatments which may cause hair loss.
Sessions include:
- making the most of scarves, hats and hairpieces
- scarf-tying techniques
- practical tips for hair and scalp care before, during and after treatment
- opportunity to talk through any concerns you may have about your hair loss
- support from trained volunteers who understand the impact of losing your hair
Sessions take place on the third Thursday of each month from 01:00pm – 2:00pm.
You can find out more by calling the LJMC Helpline (020 3826 2555) or sign up online.
